like mother like daughter

the more i grow older the more i hear "You look just like your mom" compared to when i was younger; i couldn't help but to be told non-stop "you are a spitting image of your father!" i hated it, why the the heck would i wanna look like a guy!!??

once i told my mom the disgust i had with everyone telling me i looked like my dad, so she joked around telling me that when anyone said that to me to answer "i may look like my dad but i have a freckle on my butt just like my mom" haha she laughed but little did she know since i was 5 i didn't understand that she was being sarcastic about the whole thing. one day when i was at my mothers work a man who i suppose must have known my dad told me that i looked so much like him. thinking quick i told him "yes but i have a pimple on my butt just like my mom!!" with the biggest smile on my face ever. he looked confused and laughed a little. my mom came running out red in the face. "OH NO sir!!" she told him "she meant freckle! freckle, not pimple!!" and then she told him the whole story. that day i learned to recognize my moms sarcasm.

but anyways... these days I've heard my looks being compared to my mom so much that i question whether or not I AM MY MOM! its not a bad thing to look like my mom but I've started to act like my mom too. i am stuck to my computer i cant get away from it!! i also lack the ability to clean/do laundry. oh my and I've started to watch a couple of "staged" reality shows! its all in good health might i add! but at least i haven't discovered a craving for diet coke 24/7!!
